Keystone Fenestration Certification Program
The Fenestration Certification Program is the first certification program accredited by both the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to provide window, door, and skylight manufacturers of with an internationally recognized method for demonstrating product compliance with US and Canadian building codes and energy incentive programs. Certification referenced standards include NAFS and CSA A440S1 structural performance, ASTM impact resistance and CSA A440.2 energy performance.
Keystone CSA A440.2 energy performance certifications are recognized by National Resources of Canada (NRCan) to qualify fenestration for the Canadian ENERGY STAR Program while NFRC certification with Keystone IA services qualify fenestration for the US ENERGY STAR Program.
All certifications require manufacturers submit samples of the products as manufactured to one of several Keystone recognized laboratories in the US & Canada for simulation or physical testing as specified in the appropriate referenced standard.
The fenestration product performance ratings associated with this program are based on a standardized evaluation of the product conducted by an independent accredited laboratory in accordance with the specified referenced standard. Individual products are NOT certified unless they bear the permanent label containing the Keystone Certification mark. Actual fenestration product performance may vary based on many factors, including installation, condition of the wall/roof substrate and the age of the product and installation components. Keystone Certifications, Inc. makes no representations or warranties with respect to the actual performance or quality of any products.
