Insulating Glass Policy Revision Notification
Keystone Certifications has announced revisions to the Insulating Glass Certification Program Policy. Acknowledgement is required from all licensees. The complete policy documents are available through Keystone's customer portal.
Major Policy Changes
Remote Inspection Capabilities
The policy now permits remote inspections and remote witness of fabrication, and adds procedures for identifying labels on test units, moving beyond traditional in-plant inspections only.
Documentation Updates
- New requirement for a Revisions Table in Certification Authorization Reports
- Updated inspection report content standards specifying date of issuance, revision number and date, inspector, and approver signatures
Quality Management
- New guidance for KCI review and approval of Licensee quality manual revisions
- Established protocols for resolving required corrective actions, aligned with the Fenestration Program
Technology Compliance
- Information & Communications Technology (ICT) requirements incorporated for remote inspections to meet IAF MD 4 standards
- Updated references to ISO 17020 conformity assessment procedures
Administrative Clarity
- New document control ownership policies added
- Revised laboratory listing flexibility
